Si Datu Bua, part of the Silolona Sojourns collection, is the inspired replica of the famed Indonesian trading vessels known as “Phinisi” – superbly hand crafted from carefully selected raw materials, her 40 metres embodies the spirit and soul of south east Asia. The design of Si Datu Bua’s interiors are drawn from the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the islands of Sulawesi (Celebes), Banda (original home of the nutmeg) and the Toraja people of south Sulawesi – all with exquisite attention to detail.
With three spacious, air-conditioned cabin suites, Si Datu Bua will take up to 6 guests on “once in a life-time” journeys throughout Indonesia, encompassing all the romance of the ancient Spice Island Trade Routes that commenced with the famed Banda Islands, home of the once revered and highly-prized nutmeg. From Papua, Raja Ampat and Banda to Sulawesi and the Komodo region, the dedicated crew of 11 will lead you to little known corners of this magnificent archipelago to experience history, culture and the traditions of its people; dive or snorkel the best reefs in the world or simply relax on the amazing teak deck, shaded by the magnificent rust coloured sails whilst you are served the finest wines and the most delectable Asian fusion cuisine created by the dedicated Executive Chef
All journeys, might they be private charters or highly specific "private journey expeditions" are tailored to the greatest level of detail according to your specific interests by Silolona Sojourn's destination specialist, who has over 28 years of experience throughout South-East Asia.
