Villa Cannicelle is a 5 bedroom villa in Italy, with accommodation on 3 levels, a private pool and enjoys wonderful sea views from its elevated position, stretching for miles along the coast. The ancient fishing village of Villamare and the marina is approximately 1 mile away, it is possible to walk but a car is recommended as the last part of the road to the villa is quite steep. Villamare is relatively unspoilt and provides an autentic glimpse of Italy with its friendly atmosphere, restaurants, a "trattorie" and "pizzerie" serving delicous food. The sandy beach of Santa Maria Le Piane is only 600 metres away. The village sits at the foot of Cilento National Park, on the rugged and unspoilt Tyrrhenian coast, with its long beaches, colourful Mediterranean flora and seafronts lined with palms and eucalyptus trees. Villammare offers a small selection of bars and restaurants and during the summer months there are lively beach cafes available.
Built in a traditional Italian style and comfortably furnished with modern, contemporary décor, the accommodation on each level at Villa Cannicelle is self-contained making this property in Italy ideal for families and large groups. There are 5 bedrooms, ( 3 queen and 2 twins, plus 2 sofa beds)
The outdoor areas enjoy stunning sea views, various terraces, shaded lounge under a huge Mediterranean oak tree, sun around the private pool (12m x 6m pool -depth 1.40m -2.40m), dining on the rustic ‘taverna’ terrace and the whole property is surrounded by a spacious, enclosed garden and there is ample parking on site for up to 6 cars.

Ground floor: This floor is not air conditioned as it is naturally cool cooler than the other floors due to the big oak tree at the south front of the villa and the big stone porch. Fans can be made available

This area of Italy along the Tyrrhenian coast is known for its mouth-watering cuisine and the friendliness of the locals who make visitors welcome so they long for their next trip. There are plenty of historical sites to visit and lots of places to explore, for example the larger town of Sapri is 2 miles away with train links to Salerno and Naples. Or moving inland away from the coast are charming hilltop villages. Boat trips are also not to be missed, from the delightful port at Scario ( 8 miles away from Villa Cannicelle ) to Porto Infreschi, passies by the caves and hidden coves or reach the Amalfi coast and the island of Capri by hydrofoil from Sapri harbour within 3 hours.
Other activities to enjoy are horse-trekking on Mount Bulgheria, hiking or canoeing to the “Gole” (Gorges) of the River Bussentoor simply relax on the sandy beaches and at the end of a busy day enjoy the memorable sunsets from the terrace at Villa Cannicelle
