Golden Pavilion is situated on the eastern corner of the stunning main island of the BVI’s – Tortola. Set within four acres of a beautiful tropical estate, this 5-bedroom luxury villa is a unique find with its Balinese-inspired architecture emulating the zen-like tranquility of Indonesia within a relaxed, Caribbean setting.
The entry courtyard is one of the villa’s unique aspects. Covered with Jerusalem Gold stone and lined with imported Balinese footlights and statues, the courtyard is monitored by a hand carved, 1000 lb stone Buddha who ensures perfect Karma for all that enter. With a stunning lily and frog pond, imported statues and stone walls, all lit by subtle lighting, the courtyard also serves as a wonderful place to escape, read and relax with its carved, cushioned seating.
The villa is decorated with a refined, distinctly British-Colonial flair accentuated with traditional Indonesian sculptures, art and furnishings, thoughtfully placed throughout the rooms from the elaborate formal living room, the bedrooms, fully equipped media room and games room, with bar and pool table.
The four, en-suite bedrooms in the main house include the stunning Master Suite with oversized bath, Jacuzzi tub and private outdoor shower. The bedrooms are individually decorated with their own colour schemes ; aqua blue, coral, moss and sky. Rich, exotic fabrics and linens adorn the beds and French doors open out to terraces that embrace the stunning Caribbean views. Bathrooms are equally sumptuous with twin vanities, showers, walk-in wardrobes, a safe, hairdryer and complimentary L’Occitane bath products. The separate apartment is perfect for independent guests, teenagers or nannies with its double, en-suite bedroom, living area with sofa bed and a kitchenette.
The focal point of the villa is the incredible outdoor living area with its spacious terraces, al fresco dining at a gorgeous 16 feet Balinese carved wooden table, an equally beautiful Indonesian relaxation sofa and the remarkable, heated infinity pool. The views from here are simply mesmerizing with a 180 degrees ocean vista. Comfy sunbeds, fresh towels always at the ready and drinks to hand, combined with the hot tub allow for perfect relaxation. There is also a gas fire pit to be lit for cocktails after dinner.
An office with a PC and internet access, plus a well-equipped gym room complete the incredible array of facilities and amenities at Golden Pavilion. In addition, the estate is full of pretty garden paths and walkways with sunken stone retreats for contemplation. Tropical flowers and birds are in abundance and from the terraces, you can spot rays, turtles and the occasional whale.
Golden Pavilion offers full services from an estate manager, full time chef creating exceptional dishes (with ingredients that include fresh produce from the estate’s own orchards), daily housekeeping and laundry. In addition, all arrangements for excursions, restaurant reservations, sailing, watersports, spa treatments and yoga etc. are offered throughout your stay.
