Vieux Caribe is a magnificent 7 bedroom ocean front villa, which is beautifully furnished and nestled amongst lush gardens overlooking the tranquil Taylor Bay with stunning ocean views.
The villa invokes a feeling of an bygone era, with it’s delightful architectural design with an exterior of hand cut native stone and the tasteful mix of antiques and fine furnishings, this creating a truly exceptional retreat for families or a group of friends.
The accommodation at Vieux Caribe consists of a main house which accommodates up to 10 adults and two ocean suites downstairs. The living area in the main house is an open plan design with high vaulted ceiling with exposed beams to take advantage of the cooling trade wind breezes. There is a TV, DVD and stereo system, and French doors open onto the pool deck. The well equipped spacious kitchen is conveniently adjacent to the dining area. The private pool terrace and deck area is ideally situated overlooking the ocean and beach - perfect for sunbathing and shade, pre-dinner drinks or just to sit back and absorb the stunning sunsets. The pool is approximately 30’ x 17’ with surrounding terrace and a plentiful supply of sun loungers, this area also great for outdoor dining and has a gas BBQ and wet bar. Steps lead down to the lower deck and dock area. 2 private docks provide access to the water and a brief swim to the shores and fine sands of Taylor Bay.
There are 3 King-size bed suites and 2 twin Queen bed suites in the main house and the separate ocean suites have king-size beds. All five suites have large en-suite shower rooms, the ground floor suite has an en-suite bath/ shower, and all have separate air conditioning (which is metered and charged to the guest at the end of the stay) and ceiling fans. All rooms open onto private balconies/ terraces and have fine linens, complimentary Molton Brown bath products and waffle robes for guest use. All rooms benefit from a digital safe, TV and music centre.
The two luxurious guest suites are positioned on a lower level, approached by a private entrance with a gentle ramp access and opening onto the waterside. One suite benefits from discrete enhancements for guests who are less able bodied with a large walk in shower accessible to a wheelchair user. A small sitting area with a mini kitchen equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster and coffee maker separates the two suites. A large deck area opens out from the suites providing ocean views.
Please note that there are 2 steps into and out of the main villa and shallow steps into the pool.
In addition to the Vieux Caribe providing several hideaway areas for sunbathing or to enjoy the addictive tranquility and acclaimed vistas, guests escape to the solitude of their suite to benefit from a private terrace, some with hammocks in which to snooze and daydream.
