To charter a yacht is the perfect way to see some of the natural beauty including the legendary Grandmother and Grandfather rocks located in the South, known in Thai as Hin Ta & Hin Yai – where the spectacular views stretch across the sea to nearby islands and the water is so clear you can see the marine life passing by. For those who enjoy diving and snorkelling visit the Ang Thong National Marine Park, found at the northern tip of the 42-island chain around the islet of Ko Yippon. Diving in shallow caves and through archways over the colourful coral beds , home a variety of marine life.

Other island attractions include the Magic Buddha Garden, a collection of statues created by an old monk which are scattered along the banks of a stream hidden high in the southern hills amongst the lush jungle. In the evening the nearby historic seafront with its old wooden shop-houses, known as Baan Bo Phut (Fishermans Village) These old  shop-houses, where once homes of merchants and fishermen but have been restored and converted into restaurants and trendy bars overlooking the bay. For Golf Lovers the 18-hole Santiburi Samui Country Club offers mountain and valley fairways with wonderful views and is considered to be one of the most beautiful courses in Asia.
